Pair Hot Wings With Craft Beer at Bill Bateman’s Bistro

Bill Bateman’s Bistro has a reputation for its hot wings and its fresh seafood, which might seem like an unusual combination at first, but regulars at this popular Havre de Grace restaurant swear by it.

If you visit after work for a full meal, try the half-pound crab cake plus some fried shrimp if you’re looking for something truly hearty, or go for the tilapia fillet if you want a lighter meal. Alternatively, you can simply join the lively crowd at the bar for a few happy hour drinks and snacks. Order yourself a pint of your favorite local craft brew on tap (only $3.50 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.), and then order a dozen wings to split with a friend. Classic Buffalo sauce is always a good idea, but this place offers a handful of other sauces, too, ranging from sweet honey mustard, to cheesy garlic parmesan, to spicy chipotle chili. Insider tip: bone-in wings are traditional, but you can request a boneless platter, too, if you prefer.
