Celebrate New Years at The Yards!

Throwing a bash for New Year’s doesn’t have to be a hassle. The holidays are hard enough! So take it easy on New Year’s by having your friends over for an epic bash. Avoid paying for an overpriced party or waiting in line at the bar and host a fabulous NYE party in your apartment.

Welcome your guests and 2015 with style by dressing your apartment up with decorations that will shimmer and shine. Glittery decorations are easy to do at home. Here are some do-it-yourself crafts that will help set the mood. And if you’re not the crafty-type, decorations aren’t too far away. Target is less than two miles from The Yards while the local party supplies store is in Bel Air, about 11 miles away.

Choosing one color to accompany silver and black décor creates a classy color scheme. Matching platters, plates and napkins can also be purchased to keep up with your festive theme.

And glittery photo frames can serve double duty at your party. You can use them to label your food and then guests can take one home with them at the end of the night. Food labels are always a great idea if you choose to do a small bites and finger foods spread with a few of these recipes here including bacon wrapped pineapple shrimp or salted caramel brownies.

When it comes to drinks, invite friends to bring festive wines or have a beer swap. Ask each guest to bring a six pack of non-generic beer for other guests to try. This way each guest can taste a different craft beer and kick off the new year with a new favorite. You can also have a supply of Heavy Seas or some Natty Boh on hand in case guests want to drink a local brew. You could also offer a spritzer bar so guests can have the opportunity to choose what kind of spirit they’d like to enjoy. Setting out three different kinds of syrup beside bottles of rum, vodka and sparkling wine gives an array of options and flavors. And giving guests an appetizer selection will surely make this a party worth remembering. Ring in 2015 the right way by hosting a party in your very own home at The Yards.
